What to Expect when you Visit

When you visit, one portion of our service is Worship. During this time, we sing and play music. You will experience a set list of songs that range from a traditional hymn to contemporary compositions. There is congregational singing, occasional solos or ensembles, or special occasion choirs.

During this time of worship, you will find varying types of worshippers from the quiet worshipper to the exuberant worshipper. After this portion of the service, there will be a message given by the Pastor or guest speaker for the day.

Spiritual Gifts

During the service, there may be times under the supervision of the pastor when the service is interrupted by the giftings of the Holy Spirit. You may hear someone speaking in a language unknown to you. After this occurs the same person or another person may give the interpretation of the unknown language. This is referred to as a time of tongues and interpretation. Or someone may speak out with a message that you will understand that the Holy Spirit has prompted them to share.

In 1 Corinthians 12-14, Paul talks about Spiritual Gifts. We believe that this time of the service is a reverent and important part of the service when it occurs.

“Therefore, my brothers and sisters, be eager to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. But everything should be done in a fitting and orderly way.” 1 Corinthians 12-14

Generally, when the musical worship portion of the service is coming to an end there will be a time of tithes and offerings.

We believe in the Biblical giving of the first tenth of income.

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse… Test me in this… and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it” (Malachi 3:10).

This is solely a time of free-will giving. No one who is a visitor should feel obligated to give.

The second Sunday of each month is our missions giving Sunday. Then the last Sunday of the month we take a $1 offering for Maoz-Israel ministries.
